The 3000 is a good platform, a mild improvement of the 2000 it replaced. That said, it is better than the latest console of the psp line…case in point, the larger screen.
I love my PSP. It’s so cool and much better than the PSP go. (which I think is a waste of money)The only problem I had was that my screen went blank, but I got a replacement in a day or two. I think that getting my PSP was the best thing I’ve done in years and I would definately recommend a PSP to anyone who likes portable gaming.
This system is awesome. The 4.3 inch screen will make the DS’s screen look like it’s for babies. The power of the psp is awesome. You get true 3D games and for the price it’s awesome. This psp has a long battery life (3 hours UMD and about 5 hours for digital) This system is ideal for anybody especially people who commute alot. The PSP’s multimedia capabilities will not let you down.
I’m not going to cover all the things the PSP 3000 does – that’s been done here and other places by far more knowledgeable people than me. I’m only going to say how much fun I’ve been having with it since I got it. I now have something I can take with me that passes the time and in a much more FUN way than looking absent-mindedly at a magazine while sitting in a Dr’s office. No, it won’t replace reading a book, but it can definitely eat up a couple hours with fun. I’ve had several other handheld gaming systems including Nintendo and Sega’s defunct Game Gear. This is so much more than just something to play games on – wish I’d had it for the 9 flights I just took.
God, i love this device.It literally does everything. Really great games are coming out now plus the Playstation Network is in full swing. It can play music, store and view pics, browse the internet, plus the new microphone and Skype function is really useful – almost replaces my cell phone wherever theres a wireless hotspot.
the only complaint i have is the awkward positioning of the joystick and how a lot of games use that as the primary movement control analog input. Especially with games that dont let us change the keys like God of War, using the analog keys puts a real strain on the finger placement. I have several times where my hands almost cramped up on me.
Other than that, its been a real pleasure owning one of these. Definitely recommended for everyone.
