I`ve just buy it. i connetted with my tv (45″), but I can`t see audio output.
If someone can help me? Thanks
Very good product
Apple doesn’t even sell one of these adapters. We used it to connect a small LCD TV to a Mac laptop. Luckily, the TV had separate settings for color balance for each connection, so TV looks good, and so does the monitor connected to the laptop.
Despite other reviews. The audio output DOES NOT WORK on a samsung tv. Do not buy this if you want to play audio through your tv speakers. I bought a moshi adapter and it works perfectly on Samsung!
I purchased this product for my early 2010 iMac in hopes that I could use my television to watch movies, videos, and listen to music with my tv’s surround sound. When I hooked it up the video worked great. Unfortunately, even though it says it supports audio, it did not. I purchased this with a HDMI cable, and I was able to use the cable with my xbox to get sound so it is obviously this adapter. I was forced to purchase a $6 Mini-Stereo 3.5mm audio to RCA cable (Y audio cable) to allow audio to get to my tv and surround sound system. Once, I did this, it worked great to watch movies with and even was fun to browse the web with.
I bought this specifically because it said that it supports audio and some of the reviews said that it worked fine. I should have looked closer at the reviews, since some people did mention that audio didn’t work for them.
It’s cheap and it’s not worth it.
Just wanted to add that I do have a new 2010 MacBook Pro 15″ that supports audio. Specifically model MacBook Pro 6,2.
