I work in IT and many times I’m troubleshooting a cable issue on the back of a server rack or switch closet. This light gives me a great view of what I’m working on while still allowing me to work with 2 hands. The poseable legs are a good method of placing the light but I think the magnetic feet are the best since I’m almost always next to something metal. Another reviewer said it best when he mentioned that this light prevents getting frustrated at someone who just cannot seem to point the flashlight where you need it.
The brightness and focus of the single LED is amazing and because it’s an LED it’s unlikely to burn out anytime soon and it doesn’t generate any heat. I’ve gotten 1st degree burns of incadescent shop lights that werent 1/2 as useful as the Gorillatorch.
I purchased the Gorillatorch to help me light objects amd subjects for my macro photography. I found it also very useful as a spot light behind portrait subjects as well as of course various household duties. I love the fact that it is magnetic so it sticks to anything even up-side-down. This helps me get fantastic lighting on subjects from the most unusual of angles. It can also wrap around my arm so I can use it as a remote flash for my camera. Furthermore, I placed new batteries in it when I purchased it and have used it since for hours and hours and still, no need to refress the batteries! It is a fantastic product, great idea, and very reasonable price. I highly recommend it for anyone for any use!
I bought this for my husband. He’s used it several times and loves that it’s magnetic and will stay in the position he needs. It’s going to be perfect for camping!
This is wonderful, especially if you have a metal surface nearby. I was painting in the dimly-lit laundry room. I could use the magnetic feet of this light to stick it to the side of the washer and shine it exactly where I needed the extra light.
I bought this Gorillatorch for my husband on a whim when it was on sale. We didn’t really need it; we have a flashlight in each room because the power goes out a lot. This is so much better than a flashlight! The bendy legs and neck allow you to position it any way you want, and the light is really bright. I’ll be able to read by it during the next blackout. My husband loves it for grilling at night; he can twist the legs around the porch railing and point the light at the steaks. Plus, I think it’s adorable. It looks like a little robot!
The next time I need a present for a hard-to-shop-for relative, I’m going to order another Gorillatorch.
