How much do you know about LED lights? These things are incredible-they use hardly any power, yet kick out a huge amount of light for their size. Also, LEDs are built inside a solid case, which makes them much more durable than incandescent lights and their easily-shattered glass bulbs. And they have a huge lifespan : while the average incandescent bulb may last-at best-50,000 hours before it burns out, an LED can last 100,000 hours or more.
This is why it's exciting to manufacturers starting to use this technology in flashlights. How many times have you really needed to use your flashlight, only to find that the batteries are dead or that the bulb is burnt out or broken? Gerber's Infinity Ultra ups the reliability factor with its LED technology that, according to them, will last 100 hours or more on the included AA batteries. This thing is sturdy too-Gerber coats its circuitry with epoxy, which holds everything in place if you drop it or accidentally smack it against a rock.
The company claims that the Infinity Ultra is waterproof down to 10 feet. Not having access to 10 feet of water, I filled up my bathtub and dropped it in there for a minute or so. Sure enough, the flashlight still worked, and without any noticeable lack of brilliance.
Though the Infinity Ultra's beam is very bright for its size, this is not the best flashlight for navigating unlit country roads at night or for exploring abandoned warehouses. It is perfect for camping, however, where its durability, small size, and light weight make it ideal for hauling in a pack and illuminating a tent.
Overall, a great little product from a reliable manufacturer.--Josh Dettweiler

I believe it’s pretty hard to find a small LED flashlight that isn’t cheaply made, or just way too dim. This little thing is perfect for small areas and general use. It’s VERY bright when it’s dark. I’ve had all sorts of small LED lights, and while some are comparable in brightness (or brighter!) they all fall short on quality at the very least.
This flashlight appears to be built very well and is waterproof. I only give it four stars (I’d say 4.5 if I could) because it has a very basic mechanism to operate it. Basically you twist the cap that covers the battery down until it makes contact (and completes the circuit) to turn it on. I’d prefer a button, but it works just fine in the end. Also, the clip doesn’t really work too well, it’s a little too stiff, and scratches the crap out of the anodized surface when it moves (which it will). I took it off, which just scratched it even more. Doesn’t matter cause it’s a flashlight, but still I just owned it for an hour so it was annoying.
Has a place for a lanyard or clip, I put a keyring and carabiner on it and it’s perfect. Clips onto a belt loop and is unnoticeable.
This is a small and well constructed light that suffers from 2 flaws. It is dim (which hopefully means it will last a while on one battery) and the way to turn it on and off is by twisting the bottom. The on/off mechanism wouldn’t be too bad, but I was hoping to use this light one handed and this is difficult to do. It does provide sufficient light for basic tasks without requiring a new battery every day.
This is a great little utilitarian flashlight. It gives reasonable illumination on a single AA battery and is long lasting. I loaned it to a home contractor the other day to look into a dark space. He liked it, too. I think I would have liked a push button rather than twist on off. However, twist on-off will undoubtedly last longer. Providing a lanyard in the packaging would have been nice as well.
This flashlight seems to be constructed of quality material and has a nice weight to it, however it lacks power. I guess I cant complain about the power because the flashlight is suppose to be a task light. I still like the flashlight, but I don’t think that its worth the price. I probably wouldn’t recommend it, perhaps at $12 it would be a better buy.
This flashlight is indestructible, very bright for its size, and works even when the battery is low. Very well-engineered. Expensive, but worth it.
