I bought these to wear under button-down shirts; as it turns out, they’re exceptional for that purpose or by themselves. I’ve had them for a while now and wear them consistently.
While very comfortable, they’re not exceptionally soft; if that’s a priority for you, you may want to keep looking. However, I haven’t found anything close to these; they’re longer than most, making them great to tuck in.
I’m 5’10″, 145lb (slim build), and the small fit me utterly perfectly. A word of warning to people who are similarly clueless, though: Be careful about drying them, they’ll shrink a bit. Mine are still quite wearable, but the next pack I order (which I’ll be doing right now) will be hanging out to dry.
I have not found a better black undershirt.
